2024-2025 School District Budget Vote & Board of Education Election Information

Board of Education Election:

There is one Board of Education Members' seat whose term is expiring. There are no incumbent candidates running for re-election. The two at-large candidates are John Libby and Melissa Elias. Information regarding each candidate can be found in the district's Budget Notice. 

 

Budget Summary Information:

The Board of Education has approved a proposed 2024-25 school year budget in the amount of $47,969,200. 

The Board of Education has approved a proposed 2024-25 school year levy in the amount of $16,687,114. 

To further offset the levy increase, the Board of Education has allocated the use of its fund balance and reserves in the amount of $5,074,034.

The percentage of the budget allocated for administrative functions is 8.40% of the proposed 2024-25 school year budget. This percentage is below the contingent budget cap on administrative expenses.

Voter Eligibility & Registration

Before you vote, please check to make sure you are a registered voter and know your voting location (based on your home residence). To help verify voter registration and location, VVS is providing a tool that community members can use. Please use the following link in preparation for the school budget vote and election: https://vip.ntsteamed.com/. Residents who arrive at the wrong polling location will be directed to their designated location to vote.

VVS community members need to meet three criteria in order to vote on the 2024-2025 budget. They must be: 1.A citizen of the United States, 2.Eighteen years of age or older, and 3.A resident within the district for a period of 30 days before the election.
